Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Hendricks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gold Mint! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mint works the jab nicely. Mint misses with the combination.
Mint looks to land a combination. Hendricks sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Hendricks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mint is trying to get back to half guard. Hendricks is looking to take a break and control but Mint is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hendricks staying calm. Mint is trying to get back to half guard. Hendricks is nestled in close to Mint, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Mint looking for submissions off his back. Mint looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hendricks is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mint won't allow Hendricks to pass to mount. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mint gets full guard. Hendricks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mint is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hendricks is aware though and is defending well. Hendricks trying to control but Mint is working from the bottom. Hendricks looking to pass the guard. Mint had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hendricks defends it easily. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hendricks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hendricks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hendricks trying to control but Mint is working from the bottom. Mint looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mint escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hendricks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hendricks won't allow Mint to sweep him here.

Hendricks trying to control but Mint is working from the bottom. Mint is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hendricks landing with the ground and pound. Mint looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hendricks trying to control the position from guard on top but Mint is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gold Mint dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hendricks shoots in for a takedown but Mint shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mint misses with a few strikes there.

Mint throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A punch combination from Mint misses. Hendricks shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mint manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hendricks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mint has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hendricks has managed to get both his arms back between Mint's legs - danger averted. Mint has a loose triangle. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hendricks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mint works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hendricks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mint has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! Mint gets full guard. Hendricks makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Mint keeping moving, preventing Hendricks from controlling successfully. Mint throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hendricks uses it to pass to side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hendricks trying to control the position but Mint is working away. Mint is trying to get back to half guard. Hendricks cracks Mint with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hendricks tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mint is looking for a sweep. Mint manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hendricks's best efforts. Hendricks is looking to advance position but Mint won't allow it. Hendricks seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mint does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mint actively working from the bottom here. Mint looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mint is breathing heavily. Hendricks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hendricks with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mint, as that shot connected.
Mint feints a jab promting Hendricks to slip. Mint then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hendricks slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Nice takedown defense from Mint. No joy for Hendricks on that attempt. Mint showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hendricks.
Hendricks throws a nice inside leg kick. Hendricks shoots in looking for a takedown. Mint tries to sprawl out of it but Hendricks keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mint manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mint shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hendricks eats them both and turns towards Mint to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hendricks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mint swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Mint takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hendricks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mint. Hendricks moves away from the strike by Mint. Hendricks slips under a jab. Hendricks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mint sprawls well initially but Hendricks persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hendricks wants to take a breather but Mint is having none of it. Mint looking for submissions off his back. Hendricks sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mint defending well though. Hendricks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hendricks is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mint defends it well.
