Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boowa Kwala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Williams has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Boowa Kwala's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Boowa Kwala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steven Williams! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams throws a quick inside leg kick. Kwala looks for the body kick but Williams saw that one coming. Williams shoots in but Kwala avoids the takedown attempt easily. Williams tries to clinch but Kwala is having none of it. Williams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kwala has time to react. Kwala shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kwala gets slowly back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kwala swats him away and circles back towards the center. Good leg kick by Williams there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Williams buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kwala looks to throw a body kick and Williams counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Williams looking to finish!
Kwala is rocked! Kwala is breathing heavily. Kwala doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Oh Kwala is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Kwala keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Kwala seems to have got his legs back now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams slips nicely into half guard. Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kwala is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kwala tries to kick Williams off but Williams keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams throwing shots but Kwala is blocking nicely. Williams is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kwala is looking to control Williams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kwala avoid being mounted? Kwala holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Kwala trying to control but Williams postures up.
Williams throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kwala does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Williams is looking to advance position but Kwala won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kwala is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kwala defends it well. Kwala flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Kwala is trying to escape back to his feet but Williams uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kwala is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Williams asserts his dominance and retains side control. Kwala on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kwala tries to get out of the position. Williams working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kwala knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sloppy strikes there by Williams. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A looping hook to the body misses from Kwala. Williams does a little dance to reset his feet. Williams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kwala sprawls well initially but Williams persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kwala wants to control but Williams is keeping busy and won't allow it. Williams passes to side control. Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kwala is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kwala wants to control but Williams postures up. Kwala throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Kwala manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Steven Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kwala is looking to work some ground and pound but Williams has wrist control. Kwala sitting in guard here, content to control. Kwala has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Boowa Kwala has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kwala looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kwala fails with a takedown attempt. Kwala has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Boowa Kwala has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kwala shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boowa Kwala. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kwala fails with a takedown attempt. Williams scoring well with a low kick there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams lands a leg kick that knocks Kwala off balance momentarily. Steven Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kwala stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Williams follows into mount! Williams looking to control but Kwala is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Boowa Kwala's cut. Good exchange - Williams coming out on top. Kwala wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance. Kwala swats away the attempt to clinch by Williams. Kwala fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kwala chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Williams can pounce on him.
Kwala looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kwala tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kwala somewhat. Kwala fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Williams avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boowa Kwala. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Williams lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Williams lands a head kick that stumbles Kwala and the fighters go to the mat. Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Williams gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Kwala shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense. Williams shoots in and bounces Kwala off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kwala has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Williams has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kwala down.
Kwala is not content to let Williams control the position. Williams stands up and beckons Kwala to his feet. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kwala. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Kwala keeps the fight on the outside. Kwala tries to clinch up. Kwala takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Kwala doesn't manage to clinch there - Williams circles away.
Williams feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kwala's calf. Kwala doesn't manage to clinch there - Williams circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A kick lands to the mid section there for Williams. Williams dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kwala. That did some damage! Williams drops Kwala with a right and a left! Williams comes rushing in but Kwala regains his composure and manages to keep Williams in guard.
Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kwala looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Williams decides to stand and escape the position. The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Good standup being displayed there by Williams as he connects with a hook. Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kwala tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range. Kwala clinches. Williams pulls guard successfully.
Williams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kwala! Kwala tries to lock up and control but Williams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kwala slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kwala looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that's the end of the fight! Steven Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Williams winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
