Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between JonJ Ones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm has chosen Ronald Jenkees - Disorganized Fun as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Storm bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Storm tests Ones's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Storm looks for the body kick but Ones saw that one coming.
Storm scores with the left hand. Ones knows he should have avoided that one.

Storm looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Storm stopping the sweep attempt from Ones.
Ones pulls Storm in close to prevent any damage.
Storm won't allow Ones to sweep him here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ones tries to get out of the position.
Ones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ones wants to take a breather but Storm is having none of it.

Storm is looking to control Ones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Storm avoid being mounted?

Ones is keen to just control but Storm is a slippery customer.

Storm utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ones wants to pass the guard but Storm is keeping the position.

Storm keeping moving, preventing Ones from controlling successfully.
Ones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Storm tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ones postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Ones with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Storm bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Storm manages to avoid it.
Ones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Storm looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ones slips a jab and a cross from Storm.
Storm throws a solid leg kick but Ones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Storm.
Lance Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Storm loads up on a big right hand but Ones slips the punch.

Ones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A left and a right from Ones both land. Nice combination.
Storm tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ones was well out of range. Poor timing from Storm.

Storm has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Lance Storm seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Ones slips a jab and a cross from Storm.

Ones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Storm fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ones manages to avoid it.

Ones throws out a loose jab but Storm uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ones's jab looks to have found its range, popping Storm under the eye.

and Ones counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Storm keeping moving, preventing Ones from controlling successfully.
Ones showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Ones wants to pass the guard but Storm is keeping the position.
Ones chips away with some ground and pound.

Ones's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ones trying to control but Storm is working from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ones stands and throws Storm's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Storm is pushing Ones's head away, looking to escape. Ones manages to hold on to the position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Storm takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Storm just misses with a punch to the body.

Ones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Storm's guard.
Ones advances position into side control!

Ones is trying to control the action in half guard but Storm is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ones is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Storm reverses the position - he's now on top in Ones's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Storm accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
