Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shake it. Davis has chosen YMCA as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dick Davis has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kevin Adams's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dick Davis!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams doesn't manage to clinch there - Davis circles away.
Davis looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Adams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Adams tries to move to mount but Davis blocks the move with his legs.

Adams decides to stand back up.

Adams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Davis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Adams just content to control the position.
Davis is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Davis is refusing to be controlled, as Adams sits in half guard.

Adams looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Davis looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Adams frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Adams forces the positional change into back control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis wants to escape the position.
Adams could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Adams lands a shot to the head.
Davis wants to escape the position.
Davis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Adams has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Davis has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Adams is trying to stick to Davis's back but Davis is turning into Adams. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Adams's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Davis.
Adams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davis's guard.

Adams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Davis, up you get!
Adams is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Adams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Adams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Adams trying to control but Davis is having none of it.

Adams jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Davis manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis tries to bench press Adams off him but Adams keeps the position.
Davis is not content to let Adams control the position.
Davis is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Adams's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Still in half guard, Adams seems content to control.

Adams is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Davis has managed to free his arm - good work.

Davis pushes Adams off and gets back to his feet.

Adams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Davis is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Adams pulls his head out easily.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Adams lands a nice short elbow.
Adams is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Adams passes the guard and advances to mount!
Davis is working to get back to half guard.
Adams breaks from Davis's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adams lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Adams trying to control but Davis is having none of it.
Adams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Adams working for a guillotine from mount but Davis is in no mood to give up.
Adams sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Adams is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Adams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Adams stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Adams goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Davis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Adams clinches up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Davis pulls guard effortlessly.

Davis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Adams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Adams wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.
Adams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Adams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adams is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Davis is trying to escape and Adams transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Davis is forced to tap! Nice work there by Adams! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kevin Adams!
