Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon The Blanket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Kringle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon The Blanket! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Blanket stuffs the takedown attempt from Kringle. Kringle gets slowly back to his feet. Kringle has The Blanket up against the cage in a clinch.
The Blanket drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kringle pulls his leg out and moves away.
The Blanket shoots for a takedown but Kringle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kringle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kringle working the ground and pound but The Blanket is defending the strikes. The Blanket is not content to let Kringle control the position. The Blanket is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Kringle throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kringle decides to take the fight back to the feet. Kringle stuffs the takedown attempt from The Blanket. The Blanket gets slowly back to his feet. Kris Kringle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon The Blanket.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Blanket darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kringle wants to get back to full guard. The Blanket scoring with strikes to the body and head. The Blanket is looking to advance position but Kringle won't allow it. Kringle works his way to full guard. Good work. Kringle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The Blanket wants to pass the guard but Kringle is keeping the position. Kringle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kringle trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! The Blanket looking to pass the guard. The Blanket lands a couple of digs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kringle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Blanket can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The Blanket forces his way into half guard. Kringle misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The Blanket missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The Blanket thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The Blanket winds up and cracks Kringle with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kringle is not content to let The Blanket control the position. The Blanket working over Kringle with some ground and pound. Kringle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The Blanket looks to land a strike but Kringle avoids it nicely and regains full guard. The Blanket throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kringle works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The Blanket is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kringle throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Blanket chips away with some ground and pound. The Blanket throws a strike but Kringle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kringle wants to control from the top but The Blanket keeps moving. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kringle won't allow The Blanket to get back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kringle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The Blanket pushes Kringle off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The Blanket misses with a takedown and Kringle counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kringle looking to sit in guard and control but The Blanket gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kringle lands an upkick as The Blanket stands over him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jon The Blanket will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The Blanket fails with the takedown and Kringle counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kringle is keen to just control but The Blanket is a slippery customer. Kringle not landing any meaningful shots this time. The Blanket tries to kick Kringle off but Kringle keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The Blanket pushes Kringle off and gets back to his feet. The Blanket looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kringle is fending him off so far but The Blanket persists. Nope, Kringle circles away and we're back to standing. The Blanket misses with a takedown and Kringle moves into the clinch. Kris Kringle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon The Blanket. The Blanket has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kringle after a bit of a struggle. The Blanket is trying to drag Kringle to the mat but Kringle just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kringle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The Blanket is breathing heavily. Kringle shoots in and gets a takedown into The Blanket's guard. Kringle stops The Blanket from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kringle in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The Blanket keeping full guard, as Kringle tries to pass. The Blanket has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kringle off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Kringle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kringle trying to control the position from guard on top but The Blanket is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The Blanket working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kringle. Kringle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kringle throwing strikes but missing. That's two minutes gone in the round. Kringle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The Blanket is keeping the position for now. The Blanket is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kringle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kringle scores a takedown into full mount! The Blanket bucks up and throws Kringle to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! The Blanket fails with the takedown and Kringle decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in The Blanket's guard. Kringle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kringle makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kringle trying to control but The Blanket is working from the bottom. Kringle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Blanket wants to stand and escape but Kringle is having none of it. Kringle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kringle in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kringle wants to control from the top but The Blanket keeps moving. The Blanket is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kringle is controlling him. Kringle wanted to stand there but The Blanket had control of the position. Kringle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The Blanket wants to stand and escape but Kringle is having none of it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Kringle wants to get up but he can't break The Blanket's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kringle throwing strikes from guard but The Blanket blocks nicely. The Blanket is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The Blanket has his takedown stuffed and Kringle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Kringle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Blanket swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kringle trying to control but The Blanket is working from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kringle distracts The Blanket with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The Blanket avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Kringle dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Kringle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Blanket is trying to buck Kringle off. Kris Kringle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kringle scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at The Blanket to see if he's OK. The Blanket wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The Blanket managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kringle.
Kringle stands up and we're back to a striking position. The Blanket gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kringle counters with a takedown into side control. The Blanket takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That's two minutes gone in the round. Kringle works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The Blanket taking punishment in the form of punches.
The Blanket is not content to let Kringle control the position. Kringle creates some space and throws a big elbow, but The Blanket sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The Blanket wants to get back to his feet but Kringle drags him back down. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kringle working the ground and pound but The Blanket is defending the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kringle wants to control but The Blanket is keeping him busy. Kringle moves into full mount! The Blanket tries to buck Kringle off but he can't manage it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kringle cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The Blanket is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Kringle lands with some vicious ground and pound - can The Blanket hang on? A nice elbow there by Kringle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kringle with the ground and pound from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kringle is in the full mount, landing strikes. Kringle landing punches. Kringle scoring with strikes but The Blanket is staying in there. You get the feeling that The Blanket really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kringle lands a big elbow. Kringle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The Blanket wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Kringle cracks The Blanket with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kringle lands a nice shot to the head. The Blanket is trying to stand up.
And that's the end of the fight! Kris Kringle showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kringle has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
