Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Fuentes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Haiku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuentes comes to the cage accompanied by The Streetbeater. The crowd seem to be enjoying Haiku's choice of entrance music: Seek and Destroy. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julio Fuentes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Haiku! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fuentes shoots in and drives through. Haiku sprawls well. Fuentes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fuentes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Haiku is staying active underneath Fuentes, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fuentes is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Haiku is desperately trying to improve his position but Fuentes has a good base and remains in mount. Fuentes moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Haiku has worked his arm free - good work by Haiku!
Fuentes tries for a kimura but Haiku is defending well. Haiku manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Haiku wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fuentes keeps working. Haiku trying to mount his opponent but Fuentes defends it. Haiku looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuentes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fuentes is working hard here to advance position. Fuentes is looking to control Haiku's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fuentes avoid being mounted? Haiku seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Haiku performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Fuentes wants to improve his position but Haiku is controlling well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Fuentes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Haiku circles away. Haiku decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fuentes moves into full guard.
Haiku wants to stand but Fuentes is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haiku with a flurry of punches that miss. Haiku preventing the sweep. Haiku trying to control but Fuentes is working from the bottom. Haiku wants to pass the guard but Fuentes is keeping the position. Haiku passes Fuentes's left leg - he's now in half guard. Haiku tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fuentes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Haiku decides to return to a standing position. Fuentes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Haiku counters with a single leg into guard. Fuentes didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julio Fuentes. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Haiku stands up from guard. Let's bang! Haiku shoots in and bounces Fuentes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haiku postures up.

Haiku doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Haiku manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fuentes has a closed guard, preventing Haiku from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fuentes looking for a guillotine here but Haiku defends easily.
Haiku cracks Fuentes with a solid left hand. Haiku is sitting in close to Fuentes's body. Fuentes has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Haiku is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Haiku is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Fuentes.
