The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowal looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grant is fending him off so far but Lowal persists. Nope, Grant circles away and we're back to standing.

Lowal throws a lazy right hand but Grant sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lowal closes the distance and clinches up with Grant, looking for a takedown. Lowal pushes Grant against the ropes but Grant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Grant tries to close the distance and clinch but Lowal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lowal takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Grant turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Grant scores with the left hand. Lowal knows he should have avoided that one.

Lowal steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Grant. That one must have hurt.
Cody Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Grant with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Grant drops Lowal with a big knee straight up the middle! Lowal is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Lowal is rocked!

It looks like Mohammad Lowal has been cut.

Grant gets a clinch.
Oh Lowal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Grant jerks Lowal's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Lowal drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Grant goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Grant because Lowal was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
