The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bishop scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bishop is looking to advance position but Grabowski won't allow it.
Bishop takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bishop is trying to control the action in half guard but Grabowski is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bishop is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Grabowski is staying active underneath Bishop, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We're going to have a standup here because Sid Bishop wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bishop scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Grabowski scores with a one two! Bishop had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Grabowski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Bishop avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grabowski misses with a two punch combination.

Bishop throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bishop shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Grabowski tries to kick Bishop off but Bishop keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Bishop wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grabowski keeps working.
Bishop seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Bishop is keen to just control but Grabowski is a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sid Bishop just wasn't active enough.
Grabowski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Grabowski looks to clinch

and Bishop counters by clinching up.
Grabowski has Bishop pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bishop manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bishop tightens his grip and picks Grabowski up, before dumping him to the ground. Grabowski manages to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bishop accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bishop is pushing down on Grabowski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Grabowski is fighting to maintain full guard but Bishop has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bishop decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Bishop pushes Grabowski up against the cage in a clinch.
Grabowski fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bishop has picked Grabowski up - he's going for a ride! Bishop dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bishop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grabowski on the ground.
Grabowski is looking for a sweep. Bishop is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bishop wants to pass the guard but Grabowski is defending well.
Grabowski is not content to let Bishop control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Grabowski is pressing down on Bishop's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grabowski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bishop wants to control the pace but Grabowski is squirming around nicely.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Poor strikes thrown by Grabowski there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Grabowski working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Bishop looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Grabowski! Submission of the night perhaps?
