Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cottoneye Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe comes to the cage accompanied by Cottoneye Joe. Zimmerman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Linkin Park-- What Ive Done. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Eric Zimmerman enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cottoneye Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Zimmerman!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmerman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Joe avoids it really well and circles away.
Joe missing with a left hand there. Zimmerman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Joe has taken the fight to the clinch.
Joe stops a takedown attempt from Zimmerman.
Zimmerman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zimmerman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zimmerman tries to clinch there but Joe circles away.
Joe stuffs the takedown attempt from Zimmerman. Zimmerman gets slowly back to his feet.
Cottoneye Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Zimmerman.
Joe shoots for a takedown but Zimmerman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Zimmerman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Zimmerman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Zimmerman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Joe's face.

Zimmerman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Joe!
Zimmerman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Joe tries to lock up and control but Zimmerman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Zimmerman stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Joe to get to his feet.
Joe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zimmerman shoots for a takedown but Joe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Zimmerman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Joe circles away quickly and effectively.
Joe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Zimmerman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joe sprawls well. Joe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zimmerman gets slowly back to his feet.
Zimmerman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Joe's waist but Joe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zimmerman off to one side.
Zimmerman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Joe tries to avoid it but Zimmerman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Joe to the ground. Joe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Zimmerman isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Joe stacks Zimmerman on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Joe!

Joe avoids the head kick by Zimmerman.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zimmerman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Joe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Joe feints and then cracks Zimmerman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zimmerman down.
Zimmerman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Joe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zimmerman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Eric Zimmerman will probably get the nod.
