Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Rampage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donny Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rampage is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Darko looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Darko rushes Rampage and presses him up against the cage.
Darko wants to take the fight to the mat but Rampage manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Darko is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rampage is defending well.
Darko breaks the clinch.
Rampage blocks the body kick.
Darko clinches with his opponent.
Rampage has had enough of the clinch but Darko keeps him there for the moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Donny Darko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rampage stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rampage wants it to stay on the feet.
Rampage throws a looping overhand right but Darko ducks down to avoid it.

Darko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horrible takedown by Darko or perhaps it was just good defense by Rampage which made him look bad.

Darko is looking to clinch but Rampage is avoiding it.

Rampage connects with a body shot that sends Darko's belly button to the back.
Darko shoots in looking for a takedown. Rampage tries to sprawl out of it but Darko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rampage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Darko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Darko wants to sweep here but Rampage controlling him for the moment.
Darko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rampage is aware though and is defending well.

Darko can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rampage controls the pace.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jake Rampage wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Darko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Rampage throws a hook but Darko blocks it.
Darko looks for a takedown but Rampage sprawls well.
Darko shoots in for a double leg but Rampage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Darko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rampage tries to avoid it but Darko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rampage to the ground. Rampage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Darko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Darko wants to clinch but Rampage slips to the side
and Rampage counters with a left to the body.
Darko misses the shot to the body.
Darko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rampage avoids it really well and circles away.
Rampage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Darko closes the distance and clinches up with Rampage, looking for a takedown. Darko pushes Rampage against the cage but Rampage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Darko throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rampage stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rampage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Darko was well out of range. Poor timing from Rampage.
Rampage bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Donny Darko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A combination from Darko does no damage.
Darko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rampage paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Darko tries to clinch there but Rampage circles away.
Rampage moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Donny Darko will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Rampage scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Darko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rampage but Rampage pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Donny Darko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Some bone on bone action there as Rampage checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Rampage looks for the body kick but Darko saw that one coming.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Darko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Darko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rampage has an active guard here but Darko has managed to pass into half guard.
Darko is looking for a kimura but Rampage is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Darko to get the leverage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Darko stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Darko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rampage, pushing him back against the cage.
Darko turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Rampage looks to move to half guard but instead Darko has passed into mount! Damn!
Jake Rampage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Darko lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Darko looking for a guillotine from mount but Rampage is having none of it.
Rampage is squirming around, avoiding Darko's attempts to control the action.
Darko has control of Rampage's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rampage regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rampage really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Donny Darko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Darko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
