Rivera comes to the cage accompanied by Golden Earring - Twilight Zone. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera tries to clinch but Lopez is having none of it.

Rivera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lopez but Lopez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lopez lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

and Rivera counters with a three punch combo that has Lopez backing up. Lopez nods at Rivera to acknowledge the strikes.
Rivera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lopez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rivera somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryder Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rivera shoots in looking for a takedown. Lopez tries to sprawl out of it but Rivera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lopez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rivera closes the distance and clinches up with Lopez, looking for a takedown. Rivera pushes Lopez against the cage but Lopez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
