The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner scores with a kick to the midsection.
Tanner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tanner misses with a wild body shot.
Tanner throws a predictable looking body shot
and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silva misses with a hook.
Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tanner.
Tanner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva throws a hook but Tanner avoids it easily.
Tanner just misses with a punch to the body.
Tanner cracks Silva with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Silva keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tanner scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tanner fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Silva looks gassed!
Tanner lands a front kick.
Oooooh!!! Tanner has knocked Silva down with a huge combo! Tanner steps away and waves a wobbly Silva back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Silva is rocked!
Tanner lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Tanner finish him?
Tanner connects with a superb combination that knocks Silva out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Tanner before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Silva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jason Tanner!
A relieved looking Jason Tanner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
