Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zimmerman's choice of entrance music: Linkin Park-- What Ive Done. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Zimmerman!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmerman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zimmerman tries a head kick but it misses.
Zimmerman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Smith is working an open guard so Zimmerman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Zimmerman.
Zimmerman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zimmerman scores with a couple of nice shots.

Zimmerman is nestled in close to Smith, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zimmerman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Smith's head.

Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zimmerman on the ground.
Zimmerman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zimmerman decides to stand and escape the position.
Zimmerman gets in close and tags Smith with a short punch that almost sends Smith to the mat! Oh Smith is in big trouble! He turns his back on Zimmerman, trying to create some distance but Zimmerman rushes him, striking wildly and Smith goes down! The referee tackles Zimmerman into the cage to end the fight! Zimmerman is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Zimmerman!
