Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Higashikuni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Lewandowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewandowski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Clash - The Guns Of Brixton kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsu Higashikuni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcin Lewandowski!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewandowski throws a right hand that Higashikuni ducks under and follows up with a left that Higashikuni also avoids with ease.
Higashikuni shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lewandowski makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Higashikuni closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Higashikuni lands in his opponent's guard.
Higashikuni looking to sit in guard and control but Lewandowski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lewandowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Higashikuni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Higashikuni might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Lewandowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Higashikuni is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lewandowski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Higashikuni working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Lewandowski looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Higashikuni! Submission of the night perhaps?
