Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diogo Heredia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Avila! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diogo Heredia! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heredia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Avila tries to avoid it but Heredia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Avila to the ground. Avila escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Avila looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Avila closes the distance and clinches. Heredia is looking to take this one to the mat. Avila is trying to pull guard but Heredia has him pressed against the cage. Avila breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Heredia shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Avila defends it nicely. Paulo Avila has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diogo Heredia. Heredia tries to keep at a distance but Avila has taken the fight into the clinch. Heredia is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Avila pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Avila drags the fight down to the ground.
Heredia drops back looking for a leg! Avila is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Avila manages to kick Heredia off! Heredia jumps back into Avila's guard. Heredia stopping the sweep attempt from Avila.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heredia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Avila throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heredia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Heredia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Avila is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Heredia slips nicely into half guard. Avila trying to get back to full guard but Heredia takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Avila is just holding on here. Heredia manages to take his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Heredia working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Avila is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Heredia has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Avila taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Diogo Heredia! Diogo Heredia seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
