Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Brandoa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Rabago! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rabago slaps away a takedown attempt from Brandoa, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rabago misses with a few strikes there.

Rabago throws a right and a left that Brandoa avoids nicely. Rabago scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rabago looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brandoa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rabago counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rabago fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brandoa doesn't succeed with the takedown and Brandoa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Brandoa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rabago connects with a body shot that sends Brandoa's belly button to the back. Brandoa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rabago as he jumps to the side. Rabago tries to clinch but Brandoa is having none of it. Brandoa has his takedown stuffed and Rabago counters with a left to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rabago lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brandoa circles away quickly and effectively. Horrible takedown by Brandoa or perhaps it was just good defense by Rabago which made him look bad. Brandoa walks into a stiff left hand from Rabago. Brandoa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Rabago to counter with a crisp jab. Brandoa is breathing heavily. Rabago misses with the combination.

Rabago goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Rabago throws a right and a left that both miss. Rabago lands a nice shot to the body.

Horrible takedown by Brandoa or perhaps it was just good defense by Rabago which made him look bad. Brandoa misses with a takedown attempt and Rabago counters with a lovely straight right hand! Rabago keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rabago smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Adam Rabago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rabago tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brandoa paws at him with a jab and circles away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rabago scores with a one two! Brandoa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Nice cross by Rabago.

Rabago leaves Brandoa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brandoa is defended easily by Rabago. Brandoa shoots for a takedown but Rabago saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rabago pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brandoa back to the cage. Rabago follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Brandoa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rabago misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brandoa fails to land the takedown. Rabago throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brandoa tries for a takedown but Rabago sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Brandoa slips a jab and a cross from Rabago.
Rabago gets caught napping as Brandoa dives in and scores a takedown. Rabago manages to retain guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Brandoa wants to control from the top but Rabago keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brandoa prevents Rabago from getting back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brandoa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brandoa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rabago wants to stand but Brandoa is controlling the position. Brandoa trying to control but Rabago is working from the bottom. Brandoa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rabago is staying active underneath Brandoa, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rabago is looking to escape. Brandoa is keen to just control but Rabago is a slippery customer. Brandoa is trying for a kimura here. Rabago looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Brandoa wins by kimura!
