The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergasmarchi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Carlos Da Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bergasmarchi, pushing him back against the cage.
Bergasmarchi tries to score a body lock takedown but Carlos Da Silva shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Carlos Da Silva gets underhooks to prevent Bergasmarchi's takedown attempt.

Bergasmarchi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carlos Da Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Bergasmarchi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Carlos Da Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bergasmarchi's guard.
Carlos Da Silva wants to get up but he can't break Bergasmarchi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Bergasmarchi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carlos Da Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bergasmarchi wants to take the fight to the mat but Carlos Da Silva manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Bergasmarchi turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Bergasmarchi has an Americana. Carlos Da Silva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bergasmarchi is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bergasmarchi hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
