Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zangief Streetfighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackie McJagger! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McJagger tries for a takedown but Streetfighter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Streetfighter moves into range and clinches up with McJagger. Streetfighter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McJagger.
McJagger has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Streetfighter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Zangief Streetfighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie McJagger. Streetfighter has picked McJagger up - he's going for a ride! Streetfighter dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. McJagger wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Streetfighter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. McJagger avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Streetfighter. McJagger keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Streetfighter not landing any meaningful shots this time. Streetfighter is pressing down on McJagger's thigh, looking to free his foot. McJagger is holding on for now. Streetfighter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Streetfighter is trying to control. McJagger wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. McJagger wants to get back to his feet.
Streetfighter seems to be working for a kimura but McJagger defends the submission attempt. Streetfighter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Streetfighter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Streetfighter wants to free his trapped foot but McJagger is holding on for dear life with his legs. Streetfighter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McJagger is just riding it out for now. Streetfighter eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Streetfighter missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Streetfighter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. McJagger is trying to stand up here but Streetfighter is controlling him well. Streetfighter trying to mount his opponent but McJagger defends it. Streetfighter stops McJagger from getting back to his feet.
McJagger looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Streetfighter works his foot free and advances to mount. Streetfighter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Streetfighter looking to finish McJagger with some ground and pound. This is bad for McJagger! Streetfighter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McJagger has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Streetfighter controlling the pace for now. Streetfighter throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Streetfighter trying to control but he's not successful this time. McJagger is trying to stand. Streetfighter working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. McJagger taking shots to the head. Streetfighter throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Streetfighter working McJagger over with strikes here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Streetfighter breaks from McJagger's wrist control and lands an elbow. Streetfighter controlling from mount. McJagger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Streetfighter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Streetfighter breaks from McJagger's wrist control and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zangief Streetfighter dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McJagger leaves Streetfighter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. McJagger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Streetfighter tries to avoid it but McJagger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Streetfighter to the ground. Streetfighter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Streetfighter clinches. Streetfighter has hold of one of McJagger's legs. McJagger is fighting the takedown attempt but Streetfighter gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Streetfighter throwing strikes from guard but McJagger blocks nicely. Streetfighter throwing strikes but missing. Streetfighter trying to control but McJagger is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. McJagger preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Streetfighter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Streetfighter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McJagger is keeping the position for now. Streetfighter trying to control but McJagger is working from the bottom. Streetfighter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We're going to have a standup here because Zangief Streetfighter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. McJagger shoots for a takedown but Streetfighter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McJagger is breathing heavily. Streetfighter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McJagger slaps away a takedown attempt from Streetfighter, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zangief Streetfighter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Streetfighter has his takedown stuffed and McJagger counters with a takedown into side control. McJagger sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Streetfighter is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McJagger creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Streetfighter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Streetfighter is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, McJagger asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McJagger throwing strikes but Streetfighter manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Streetfighter throwing shots but missing, from side control. McJagger parries the strikes from Streetfighter easily there. Streetfighter is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McJagger to escape.
McJagger is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Streetfighter wants to control but McJagger is keeping him busy. Streetfighter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. McJagger wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Streetfighter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McJagger, who protects the arm well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McJagger can do anything to dispel that myth. McJagger prevents Streetfighter from moving into mount. Streetfighter working the ground and pound. Streetfighter trying to control the action but McJagger is working from the bottom. McJagger avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Streetfighter. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Streetfighter grinds an elbow into McJagger's temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Streetfighter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McJagger defends it nicely. Streetfighter dives in and grabs McJagger's left leg, looking for a takedown. McJagger pushes down on Streetfighter's head and hops out. Streetfighter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Streetfighter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McJagger.
McJagger is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Streetfighter is defending well. McJagger drops down looking for an ankle pick but Streetfighter pulls his leg out and moves away.
Zangief Streetfighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie McJagger. McJagger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Streetfighter shoots in and drives through. McJagger sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Streetfighter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McJagger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McJagger is working to avoid the ground and pound but Streetfighter connects with a decent elbow. Streetfighter tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. McJagger defending against the ground and pound. Streetfighter misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Streetfighter trying to control the position but McJagger is working away. Zangief Streetfighter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The strikes coming from Streetfighter are missing the target in this wave of attacks. McJagger is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Streetfighter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jackie McJagger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Streetfighter is staying tight to McJagger's torso, preventing him from escaping. Streetfighter working the ground and pound. Streetfighter trying to control the position but McJagger is working away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Streetfighter is trying to get an arm triangle but McJagger is defending well. Zangief Streetfighter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Streetfighter content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
