The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moi moves to clinch but Poddybniy breaks away
and Poddybniy counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Poddybniy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Poddybniy missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Poddybniy is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

You get the feeling that Moi really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ivan Poddybniy just wasn't active enough.
Moi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Poddybniy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Poddybniy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moi to the ground. Poddybniy is now in Moi's guard.

Moi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Moi wants to clinch but Poddybniy slips to the side
and Poddybniy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Poddybniy is stalling in the full guard.
Poddybniy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Poddybniy in particular looking to stall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ivan Poddybniy wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Moi looks to clinch
and Poddybniy counters with a takedown into side control.
Poddybniy just content to control the position.
Poddybniy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Moi for as long as he can get away with.

Ivan Poddybniy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Moi closes the distance but Poddybniy moves to the side
and Poddybniy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moi won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Moi is pushing Poddybniy's head away, looking to escape. Poddybniy manages to hold on to the position though.

Poddybniy is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Moi looks calm but he's in trouble here. Poddybniy gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Moi is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Poddybniy lets go of the hold and Moi can pop his arm back in it's socket.
