Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Pewterschmidt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Milton Myers! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pewterschmidt shoots in looking for a takedown. Myers tries to sprawl out of it but Pewterschmidt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Myers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Myers misses with a series of wild punches.
Pewterschmidt takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Myers misses with a hook
and Pewterschmidt counters with a lovely shot to the body. Pewterschmidt throws a hook to the side of Myers's head but Myers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pewterschmidt thows a body shot but no joy. A jab lands there for Pewterschmidt. Pewterschmidt throws a poor cross that misses
and Myers counters with a lovely shot to the body. Myers is looking to clinch. Pewterschmidt keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Pewterschmidt throws out a loose jab but Myers uses good head movement to avoid it.

Myers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pewterschmidt sees it coming and avoids it easily. Good standup being displayed there by Pewterschmidt as he connects with a hook. Carter Pewterschmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Myers misses with a looping right. Pewterschmidt moves out of range as Myers throws a body kick.
Pewterschmidt scores with a nice strike. Pewterschmidt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Myers throws a solid leg kick but Pewterschmidt takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Myers. Myers just misses with a punch to the body.

Pewterschmidt looks to score with a jab to the body but Myers is just out of range. Milton Myers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Myers staying out of range there. Myers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pewterschmidt on the side of the head. Myers lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pewterschmidt's sensitive parts. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pewterschmidt throws a hook but Myers avoids it easily. Myers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Pewterschmidt throws a strike but Myers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Myers controls from within his opponent's guard. Pewterschmidt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pewterschmidt is trying to keep Myers in close.
Myers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pewterschmidt looking to control.
Pewterschmidt is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Myers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Myers misses with a straight left. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Myers throws a leg kick but Pewterschmidt sees it coming and moves out of range. Sloppy strikes from Myers. Those never looked like landing. Myers fails with an attempt to clinch.

A close round but Milton Myers will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pewterschmidt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pewterschmidt trying to control but Myers is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Myers working to try and regain half guard.
Myers really wants to buck Pewterschmidt off and get back to his feet. Pewterschmidt wants to control the pace but Myers is squirming around nicely. Pewterschmidt is really struggling to control Myers but he's trying to hold on to the position. Poor strikes thrown by Pewterschmidt there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Pewterschmidt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pewterschmidt not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Myers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pewterschmidt stops Myers from getting back to his feet.
Pewterschmidt slows the pace down in half guard. Myers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pewterschmidt. Pewterschmidt is trying to control the action in half guard but Myers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pewterschmidt wants to free his trapped foot but Myers is holding on for dear life with his legs. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pewterschmidt wants to take a breather but Myers is having none of it.

Carter Pewterschmidt dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Pewterschmidt throws a looping overhand right but Myers ducks down to avoid it. Pewterschmidt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Myers wants to stand but Pewterschmidt is controlling the position. Pewterschmidt in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pewterschmidt stops Myers from standing up. Pewterschmidt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Myers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pewterschmidt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pewterschmidt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Myers is looking to stand up but Pewterschmidt isn't so interested in that idea. Myers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pewterschmidt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Myers is keeping the position for now. Myers keeping moving, preventing Pewterschmidt from controlling successfully. Pewterschmidt throwing strikes from guard but Myers blocks nicely. Myers wants to get back to his feet but Pewterschmidt is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Myers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pewterschmidt throws a big shot that misses. Pewterschmidt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Myers.
Myers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pewterschmidt throws out the jab. A punch combination from Myers misses. Myers pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pewterschmidt is out of range and Myers settles back down. Pewterschmidt slips under a jab from Myers. A clash of legs there as Pewterschmidt blocks the low kick. Myers moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Pewterschmidt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Myers circles away. Myers lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pewterschmidt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt shoots in and bounces Myers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pewterschmidt passes into half guard. Pewterschmidt is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Pewterschmidt is looking to advance position but Myers won't allow it. Myers manages to escape and get back to his feet! Pewterschmidt takes one to the chin there. Pewterschmidt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Myers's waist but Myers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pewterschmidt off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Myers tries to avoid it but Pewterschmidt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Myers to the ground. Myers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carter Pewterschmidt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Myers getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Pewterschmidt throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pewterschmidt wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This has been an exciting period of action! Myers keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pewterschmidt. Pewterschmidt throws a looping overhand right but Myers ducks down to avoid it. Myers misses with a body kick. Pewterschmidt circles away from the clinch attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pewterschmidt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Pewterschmidt prevents Myers from standing back up.
Pewterschmidt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Myers's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Carter Pewterschmidt showed his dominance in that final round. I think Pewterschmidt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
