Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter has chosen Bob Dylan - Hurricane as his entrance music. Rubin Carter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Nielsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rubin Carter!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nielsen misses with a lunging right hand
and Carter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nielsen moves out of range of the strikes.
Carter has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Carter there as he acknowledges the shot.
Donk. Nielsen catches Carter right on the button with a cross.
Nielsen lands a lovely overhand right.
Carter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nielsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Carter.
A telegraphed right hand from Nielsen misses the target.
Carter moves out of range as Nielsen strikes.

Nielsen is looking to control Carter's arms but Carter gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nielsen has his back to the cage.

Carter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Carter is pressed against the cage. Nielsen pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Carter! Two more big strikes from Nielsen and Carter crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Brian Nielsen!
Brian Nielsen very nearly forgot to thank Down Under Supplements (AXES) amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
