Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Jalkalukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nixon Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jalkalukko comes to the cage accompanied by Jordan Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jalkalukko swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jalkalukko fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Nixon Red seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Red enables Jalkalukko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Red manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jalkalukko throws a strike but Red rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Red must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jalkalukko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jesse Jalkalukko.
