The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Gilman. No joy for Kim on that attempt.
Gilman shoots in but no luck this time.
Gilman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gilman shoots in and drives through. Kim sprawls well.
Kim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gilman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kim somewhat.
Gilman has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Gilman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kim decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kim is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gilman!
