Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Gabriel Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Kane. Kane moves out of range as Borodin throws a body kick.
Borodin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice takedown defense from Borodin. No joy for Kane on that attempt. Kane shoots in for a takedown but Borodin shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Borodin misses with a double jab.
A punch combination from Borodin misses. Kane is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Borodin's half guard. Kane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kane throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Borodin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kane. Borodin wants to improve his position but Kane is controlling well.
Kane drops an elbow to the side of Borodin's head. This has been an exciting period of action! Borodin wants to control but Kane is keeping busy.
Borodin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kane's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kane's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Borodin scores with strikes from the back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borodin keeps control of the position as Kane tries to break free.
Kane is working hard here to advance position. Borodin lands a shot to the body. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Borodin lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Borodin is persistently looking for the submission but Kane is defending it well.
Borodin has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kane has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Kane manages to reverse the position and now he's in Borodin's guard. Nice work there by Kane.
Borodin is looking for a triangle but Kane pushes his legs off easily.
Kane is in close to Borodin's body, working some short punches and elbows. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kane missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kane scoring with punches to the head and body. Kane won't allow Borodin to get back to his feet. Kane throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Borodin trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Kane is working Borodin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Borodin wants to sweep here but Kane controlling him for the moment. Kane prevents Borodin from getting back to his feet. Borodin looks gassed! Kane distracts Borodin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Borodin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Borodin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Borodin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kane! Kane is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borodin trying to control but Kane is having none of it. Kane is trying desperately to improve position. Kane sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Borodin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Borodin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Borodin is looking to stand up but Kane won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Borodin advances position into side control! Kane is looking for a sweep. Kane manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kane moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Borodin won't allow Kane to sweep him here. Borodin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kane, up you get! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Borodin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Borodin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kane looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Borodin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Borodin looks to land a combination but Kane avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gabriel Kane will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Sloppy strikes from Borodin. Those never looked like landing. Kane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A left and a right from Borodin both land. Nice combination. Borodin lands a body shot.
Borislav Borodin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Borodin lands an overhand right. Kane shoots for a takedown but Borodin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Borodin cracks Kane with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kane is rocked! Kane ducks into an uppercut from Borodin and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Borislav Borodin!
