And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Francis Begbie!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Begbie throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Begbie is looking to clinch but Conley is avoiding it.
Begbie throws a low kick but Conley avoids it.
Conley throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Begbie tries to clinch there but Conley circles away.
Conley avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Begbie throws a quick inside leg kick.
Conley throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Francis Begbie has been cut.
Conley checks a leg kick nicely.
Begbie throws a leg kick but Conley checks it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Conley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Conley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Begbie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Conley keeps Begbie at a distance using the push kick.

Begbie throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Conley is trying to break the clinch but Begbie has him pressed against the cage.
Conley misses with a short punch on the inside.
Begbie blocking some punches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Begbie - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Conley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Conley throws a sloppy head kick and Begbie moves out of range easily.
Conley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Conley swats away the attempt to clinch by Begbie.

Conley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Conley throws a head kick that misses.
Begbie misses with the body kick
and Conley counters with a nice low kick that buckles Begbie's knee momentarily.
Begbie looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Conley is looking to land body kicks.

Begbie moves into the clinch successfully.
Begbie misses with a knee to the head.
Begbie throws an elbow that misses.
Conley is trying to force a seperation but Begbie has the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Conley wants to break free but Begbie has control.
Begbie stalling the fight.

Begbie manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rick Conley will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Francis Begbie's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A solid leg kick lands there for Begbie.
Begbie tries to work over Conley's front leg with a kick but Conley checks it.
Begbie wants to slow Conley down by chopping away at his legs.
Conley lands a leg kick that knocks Begbie off balance momentarily.
Conley goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Begbie clinches with his opponent.
Begbie blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Begbie is looking to control Conley's arms but Conley gets an underhook and turns him. Now Begbie has his back to the cage.

Begbie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Conley lands a nice leg kick that just misses Begbie's sensitive parts.
Conley clobbers Begbie with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Begbie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Begbie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Begbie lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Conley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Conley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Conley cracks Begbie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A nice leg kick lands there from Conley.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Conley.
Conley throws a leg kick but Begbie sees it coming and moves out of range.
Begbie ducks right into an uppercut from Conley.
Conley connects with an inside leg kick.
Begbie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Begbie tries to land a leg kick but Conley saw it coming and moves away.
Begbie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Conley moves out of range of the body kick.
Left hook, right uppercut from Conley.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Begbie on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Conley will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Rick Conley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Begbie makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rick Conley will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Francis Begbie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Conley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
