And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slapsy McPimpy!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Davies thuds his right hand into McPimpy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Davies scores with a kick to the midsection.
Davies misses the body punch
and McPimpy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Davies thows a body shot but no joy.
Davies avoids a punch combination nicely.
McPimpy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Davies really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Davies moves away from the strike by McPimpy.
Davies showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McPimpy.
McPimpy misses with a low kick as Davies jumps back.
Davies works McPimpy's body with a nice hook.
Sloppy strikes from McPimpy. Those never looked like landing.
McPimpy tries to clinch up.
McPimpy misses with the combination.
McPimpy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McPimpy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davies pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Davies closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Davies lands an elbow that stopped McPimpy in his tracks for a moment.
Davies throws an elbow but it misses.
Davies looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Davies breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Davies just misses with a punch to the body.
McPimpy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McPimpy ducks right into an uppercut from Davies.
McPimpy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Davies misses with a looping left.

Davies has closed the distance and engaged McPimpy in a clinch.
Davies throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Davies takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Davies seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
McPimpy tries to circle away but Davies has him pinned against the ropes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Davies's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Davies connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McPimpy momentarily.
Davies bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McPimpy's head.
Slapsy McPimpy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPimpy tries to move into range but Davies moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davies doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Davies takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McPimpy works over Davies's head and body with a nice combination.
Davies is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
McPimpy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davies.
McPimpy throws a right and a left that Davies avoids nicely.

Davies gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Davies misses with an elbow strike.
Davies misses with an elbow strike.

Davies pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Davies has McPimpy up against the ropes in a clinch.
Davies lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Davies throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Davies misses with a short punch on the inside.

Davies breaks the clinch.
McPimpy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
McPimpy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Davies moves into the clinch successfully.
Davies pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Davies lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
McPimpy is trying to push Davies away but Davies has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
McPimpy blocks the elbow strike.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Davies just misses with a elbow thrown towards McPimpy's brow.
Davies comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
McPimpy is trying to force a seperation but Davies has the dominant position.
McPimpy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.

Davies's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McPimpy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Davies counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McPimpy avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Davies dodges the punch combination from McPimpy.
McPimpy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McPimpy's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McPimpy duly obliges.


Davies is rocked!
A telegraphed right hand from Davies misses the target.
Oh Davies is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big right followed by a crushing left from McPimpy knocks Davies out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Slapsy McPimpy!
