Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cody Huber! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Huber working for submissions but it's allowed Jackson to get to half guard.
Huber tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Jackson has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Jackson controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huber working to try and regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Huber really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Huber for as long as he can get away with.
We're going to have a standup here because Andrew Jackson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Huber throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Huber has a hand on Jackson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jackson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Huber misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely. Huber falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Huber's guard. Jackson stays in close to Huber's body and controls the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Andrew Jackson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jackson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Huber.

and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jackson stops Huber from standing up. Huber wants to hit a switch here but Jackson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Huber there! Jackson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Let's see if Huber can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Huber won't be happy with that. Huber is trying to get back to half guard. Huber is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Jackson is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson controlling his opponent. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Jackson. Huber throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Huber misses with an uppercut
and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Huber didn't expect that. Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Jackson. Huber throws a combination that misses and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Huber didn't expect that. Huber pushes Jackson off and gets back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Huber swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Huber! Cody Huber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrew Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
