Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sue Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Mourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Folsom Prison Blues. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Ricky Mourke will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mourke throws a big shot that misses.
Carter is breathing heavily.

Mourke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sue Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mourke shoots for a double leg takedown but Carter sprawls well. He's pushed Mourke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carter tries to bum rush Mourke with a series of wild strikes but Mourke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mourke shoots in and drives through. Carter sprawls well.

Mourke closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Carter's guard.
Carter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mourke is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mourke distracts Carter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mourke connects with a nice short shot to Carter's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mourke throws an elbow but Carter slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mourke tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mourke has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mourke scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Carter to see if he's OK.

Mourke can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carter is looking to escape.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Carter is desperately trying to improve his position but Mourke has a good base and remains in mount.
Oh Carter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mourke will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Carter moves forwards but Mourke connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Mourke shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Carter is on queer street and Mourke is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
