Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nicky The Underdog!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Thompson.
Thompson misses with a double jab
and The Underdog counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The Underdog thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The Underdog drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and The Underdog jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Thompson is looking to stand up but The Underdog isn't so interested in that idea.
The Underdog drops back looking for a leg! Thompson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thompson manages to kick The Underdog off! The Underdog jumps back into Thompson's guard.
The Underdog prevents Thompson from getting back to his feet.

The Underdog is looking for a kimura but Thompson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for The Underdog to get the leverage.
The Underdog seems to be working for a kimura but Thompson defends the submission attempt.
The Underdog stops Thompson from getting back to his feet.

The Underdog wants to work for an arm triangle but Thompson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The Underdog is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thompson is just riding it out for now. The Underdog eventually gives up the hold.
The Underdog seems to be looking for submissions.
Thompson kicks off The Underdog and gets to his feet.
The Underdog shoots in looking for a takedown. Thompson tries to sprawl out of it but The Underdog keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thompson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A combination from Thompson does no damage.
No joy there for Thompson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The Underdog shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Thompson counters with a leg kick.
Dom Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicky The Underdog.
The Underdog closes the distance and clinches up with Thompson, looking for a takedown. The Underdog pushes Thompson against the cage but Thompson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Thompson. Those never looked like landing.
Thompson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Thompson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thompson wants it to stay on the feet.

The Underdog misses with a takedown attempt - Thompson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Thompson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as The Underdog backs up against the cage.
It looks like Nicky The Underdog has been cut.
Thompson lands a really nice looking cross but The Underdog seems unphased.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thompson scores with a leg kick.
Thompson misses with a wild body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thompson jabs The Underdog right on the nose. The Underdog blinks but takes it well.
Thompson gets in close and tags The Underdog with a short punch that almost sends The Underdog to the mat! Oh The Underdog is in big trouble! He turns his back on Thompson, trying to create some distance but Thompson rushes him, striking wildly and The Underdog goes down! The referee tackles Thompson into the cage to end the fight! Thompson is one violent man!
