Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Vegh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegh comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park- The catalyst. Gracie has chosen Im On One as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie throws a right and a left that Vegh avoids nicely. Gracie tries to clinch but Vegh is having none of it. Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vegh swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gracie swinging wildly here.
Gracie looks to land a combination but Vegh avoids it well. Gracie is looking to clinch but Vegh is avoiding it.
Gracie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Vegh keeps the fight on the outside. Gracie tries to bum rush Vegh with a series of wild strikes but Vegh uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vegh misses with the combination.
Gracie works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Vegh shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Gracie throws a series of punches but Vegh moves out of range. A big left from Vegh misses. Roger Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie throws a right and a left that both miss. Gracie throws the kick towards the body but Vegh avoids it. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Vegh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gracie, as that shot connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vegh sprawls well. Vegh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Vegh misses with a series of wild punches.
Vegh closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Vegh pulls guard. Gracie wants to stand but Vegh is controlling his posture from full guard. Vegh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vegh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vegh seems keen to control Gracie's posture. Vegh wants to stand but Gracie is controlling the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gracie uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Gracie tries to bum rush Vegh with a series of wild strikes but Vegh uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vegh avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gracie misses with a leg kick and Vegh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gracie's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gracie throws his legs up looking for a submission but Vegh uses it to pass to side control.
Gracie looks gassed! A lull in the action here as Vegh stalls from top position. Gracie is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying to escape the position but Vegh is controlling the position. Gracie is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Vegh is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Gracie regains half guard. Vegh passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vegh controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vegh is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gracie has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Vegh sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Vegh has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vegh scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Vegh passes to full mount! Vegh controlling his opponent. Gracie is looking to get to half guard. Vegh lands with some strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie can't escape the position.
Vegh controlling from mount. Vegh cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vegh looking to control and managing it successfully. Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gracie manages to regain half guard. Good work. Vegh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Vegh working the head and body with strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vegh moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Gracie. Arnold Vegh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gracie tries to clinch up. Vegh throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Vegh throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Vegh. Those never looked like landing. Gracie misses with the combination.
Vegh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gracie steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vegh. Vegh takes the fight into the clinch. Vegh is trying to trip Gracie. He has hold of a leg but Gracie is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Vegh persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Vegh has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Vegh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vegh has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vegh advances to half guard. Vegh is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gracie!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vegh controlling the pace for now. Gracie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Vegh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gracie for as long as he can get away with. Arnold Vegh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We're going to have a standup here because Arnold Vegh wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Vegh Rushes Gracie and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Gracie is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Vegh Piles on the pressure and Gracie crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
