Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott McDanial (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDanial comes to the cage accompanied by "No Hands". Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott McDanial! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Hume! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDanial throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A nice inside leg kick there by Hume. That's going to slow McDanial down. Hume slips a jab from McDanial. Hume plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hume tries to clinch but McDanial is having none of it. McDanial ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McDanial misses with a body shot.
Hume has closed the distance and engaged McDanial in a clinch.
McDanial is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hume with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Hume prevents McDanial from breaking the clinch. Hume tries to land knees in the clinch but McDanial avoids the damage to the body. Hume stalling in the clinch.

McDanial is trying to force a seperation but Hume has the dominant position. Hume is pushing McDanial up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Hume drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hume taking a breather. McDanial wants to get back to striking at distance but Hume won't allow it.

McDanial is trying to force a seperation but Hume has the dominant position. Hume has McDanial pressed against the cage.
Hume jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McDanial walks away with a smile on his face. Hume gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jab by McDanial. McDanial gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hume is looking to work some ground and pound but McDanial has wrist control. Hume working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDanial had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hume defends it easily. Hume with a flurry of punches that miss. Hume trying to control the position from guard on top but McDanial is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hume postures up in McDanial's guard and throws a big left but McDanial blocks it. McDanial has his foot on Hume's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hume works his way back into a safe position though. Hume postures up and lands a big shot to McDanial's brow. Hume wants to control from the top but McDanial keeps moving. Hume content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hume scoring with some ground and pound. Hume working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. McDanial is looking to stand up but Hume isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDanial working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hume. McDanial has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hume with a nice head shot there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hume postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hume won't allow McDanial to get back to his feet. McDanial keeping moving, preventing Hume from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hume might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McDanial kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hume is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McDanial looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hume working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McDanial's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Desmond Hume dominated that round. That's time! McDanial's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hume manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McDanial on his heels. He'll look to pass McDanial's guard now, I'm sure. Hume postures up in McDanial's guard and throws a big left but McDanial blocks it. McDanial keeping moving, preventing Hume from controlling successfully. McDanial has Hume pulled in close to control his posture. Hume postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hume lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hume scoring with some ground and pound. Hume trying to control but McDanial is working from the bottom. Hume throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Desmond Hume has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hume lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Hume looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McDanial looks to land a right hand but Hume moved out of range. Hume closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McDanial's guard. Hume wants to control from the top but McDanial keeps moving. Hume missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hume's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Hume throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McDanial works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hume postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McDanial looking for a sweep. Not yet McDanial, not yet. Hume stands up over McDanial, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hume throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McDanial works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McDanial wants to sweep but no luck. Hume seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hume postures up and lands a big shot to McDanial's brow.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Desmond Hume. McDanial gets caught napping as Hume dives in and scores a takedown. McDanial manages to retain guard. Hume stops McDanial from standing up. McDanial is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hume trying to control the position from guard on top but McDanial is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hume wants to clinch. Hume clinches up against the cage. Hume looking to throw knees to the head but McDanial is blocking nicely.
Hume gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hume missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McDanial taking some punishment here, with Hume in his half guard. McDanial is not content to let Hume control the position. Hume prevents McDanial from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Desmond Hume showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Hume throws a quick head kick that skims the top of McDanial's head. McDanial takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Hume has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hume shoots in but no luck this time. Scott McDanial is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McDanial throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hume counters with a nice leg kick. Hume ducks under a wild hook from McDanial. Hume moves into range and clinches up with McDanial. A bit of stalling here from Hume.
Hume has McDanial pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McDanial manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hume lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Scott McDanial has been cut. Hume tries for a takedown. No joy.
Scott McDanial has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desmond Hume. Hume dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Hume clinches up against the cage. Hume is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McDanial is defending well for now. McDanial is trying to break free. Hume keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McDanial's efforts to push away.

Hume displaying some good clinch control by pressing McDanial up against the cage. McDanial can't break the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Desmond Hume comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hume has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
