Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Silla Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim comes to the cage accompanied by CANON in D Korean Version (with gayageum) . Flare has chosen Also Sprach Zarathustra as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Silla Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Flare!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim throws a leg kick but Flare moved away.
The fighters circling - Flare throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Flare looks to land a left hand but Kim moved out of range nicely.
Flare on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Flare throws a looping overhand right but Kim ducks down to avoid it.
Flare looks to land a combination but Kim avoids it well.
Flare thows a body shot but no joy.
Rick Flare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kim.
Flare has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kim.
Kim misses with a head kick.
Flare throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kim stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kim will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Flare swats away the attempt to clinch by Kim.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kim, right into the meat.
Kim lands a head kick. Flare smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Flare throws a right and a left that both miss.
A head kick from Kim lands but Flare takes it in his stride.
Kim throws a head kick but Flare moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. Flare does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Kim counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Flare drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flare goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kim rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Flare's guard! Nice work there by Kim!

Kim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kim is looking to work some ground and pound but Flare has wrist control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kim tries to score with some ground and pound. Flare controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Kim looks up at the clock and then as Flare takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kim smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Flare wants to control but Kim postures up.
Kim tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kim has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kim is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Flare knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

You can see the frustration on Flare's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Flare is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Flare cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kim is looking to improve his position but Flare isn't that keen on the idea.
Kim manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Kim is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Flare pulls his head out easily.
