Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricardo Da Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Angelo Zed!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Da Souza moves away.
Da Souza uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zed.
Zed throws a body punch but Da Souza moves out of range.
Da Souza takes a jab right on the kisser.
Da Souza showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zed.
Zed slips under a jab.
Da Souza shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zed sprawls well. Zed wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Da Souza gets slowly back to his feet.
Zed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Angelo Zed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zed scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Ricardo Da Souza has been cut.
Zed avoids a punch combination nicely.
Da Souza works the jab nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zed lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Da Souza goes down and covers up as Zed starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Angelo Zed!
