Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Con Dumas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lazar Nimirov! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nimirov lands with a shot to the body. Dumas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nimirov tries to avoid it but Dumas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nimirov to the ground. Nimirov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dumas misses with a body shot.
Dumas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Decent striking displayed by Nimirov there. Nimirov cracks Dumas with an open hand slap.
It looks like Con Dumas has been cut. Dumas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Nimirov continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Nimirov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Lazar Nimirov. The fight moves into the clinch position. Nimirov holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Dumas gets control of Nimirov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dumas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Nimirov passes Dumas's left leg - he's now in half guard. Still in half guard, Nimirov seems content to control. Dumas trying to hold on to Nimirov's head to control him but Nimirov postures up.
Nimirov is taking a breather. Dumas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dumas is looking for a sweep. Nimirov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nimirov tries to stand but can't do so whilst Dumas controls his leg. Dumas actively working from the bottom here. Dumas tries to roll over but Nimirov keeps him under control. Nimirov decides to stand and escape the position. Dumas takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Dumas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nimirov but Nimirov pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fighters circle momentarily. Nimirov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Nimirov lands a right hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dumas misses with a takedown and Nimirov counters with a lovely shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nimirov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Nimirov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Nimirov jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nimirov lands a nice hook to Dumas's body. Dumas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nimirov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nimirov scores with a kick to the midsection. Dumas has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nimirov finds it's way round the side to connect with Dumas's head. Nimirov clinches with his opponent.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nimirov tries a body shot but Dumas blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lazar Nimirov dominated that round. The cut man is working on Con Dumas's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Dumas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nimirov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dumas somewhat. Nimirov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dumas fails with a takedown attempt. Nimirov digs a good body shot into Dumas's ribs. Nimirov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dumas's calf. Nimirov has closed the distance and engaged Dumas in a clinch.
Nimirov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Nimirov goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nimirov is pushing Dumas up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nimirov landing knees to the body.
Nimirov softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Nimirov stalls. Dumas prevents a body shot from Nimirov. Dumas being controlled against the cage. Dumas manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dumas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nimirov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dumas looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nimirov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Nimirov wants to control from the top but Dumas keeps moving. Dumas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nimirov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Nimirov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nimirov trying to control the position from guard on top but Dumas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dumas looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nimirov has picked Dumas up and slammed him! Dumas can't keep hold of the triangle and Nimirov manages to pass to side control! Dumas tries to improve position but can't. Nimirov working the head with strikes. Nimirov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dumas some visible discomfort.
Nimirov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Nimirov controlling from side mount. Dumas sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Nimirov wants to control but Dumas is keeping him busy. Nimirov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Lazar Nimirov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Nimirov digs a good body shot into Dumas's ribs. This has been an exciting period of action! Dumas takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nimirov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nimirov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Nimirov thuds a left hand into Dumas's body. Nimirov lands a really nice looking cross but Dumas seems unphased.

Lazar Nimirov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Con Dumas's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
A good leg kick by Nimirov. Dumas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nimirov lands a nice hook to Dumas's body. Dumas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Dumas takes a body punch but keeps moving. Nimirov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nimirov lands a jab to Dumas's midsection. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nimirov connects with a leg kick. Dumas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Dumas moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Nice uppercut lands for Nimirov. That snapped Dumas's head back.
Nimirov cracks Dumas with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Dumas tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Nimirov pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Dumas is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lazar Nimirov!
