Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Stann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose has chosen Soothsayer as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stann moves into the clinch successfully.
Stann breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rose shoots in looking for a takedown. Stann tries to sprawl out of it but Rose keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stann manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stann misses with a wild combination.
Stann throws a series of punches but Rose avoids them all with ease.
Stann takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rose wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stann swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stann gets caught flat footed, as Rose shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rose loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rose connects with a couple of short punches.
Stann has momentary wrist control but Rose slips an elbow through the middle.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rose trying to control but Stann is working from the bottom.
Rose wants to pass the guard but Stann is keeping the position.

Stann is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Brian Stann wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Stann tries to clinch up but Rose circles away and keeps his distance.

It looks like Brian Stann has been cut.
Rose paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Stann misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stann tries to move into range but Rose moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Rose fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Stann tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rose paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rose shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stann sprawls well. Stann wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rose gets slowly back to his feet.
Brian Stann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Rose.

Rose scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stann doesn't seem bothered though.
Stann tries to move into range but Rose moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Rose shoots in and gets a takedown into Stann's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Billy Rose wasn't active enough on the ground.
Rose drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Stann is looking to stand up but Rose isn't so interested in that idea.
Rose with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Stann is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rose is controlling him.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rose fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stann sprawls well initially but Rose persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rose not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Rose drops an elbow to the side of Stann's head.
Stann tries to kick Rose off in order to stand up. Rose Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Rose has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rose in side control, throwing shots but Stann defends.

Stann managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rose.

Rose trying to control the action but Stann is working from the bottom.
Rose takes a little break here. Stann wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Rose misses with the ground and pound.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rose tries to advance to mount but Stann denies him.
Stann on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stann tries to get out of the position.
Rose scores with punches from side control.
Rose in side control, throwing shots but Stann defends.
Stann is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rose lands a nice forearm strike.
Stann pushes Rose away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rose gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Stann avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rose.
Stann is not content to let Rose control the position.
Billy Rose has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stann is pushing Rose's head away, looking to escape. Rose manages to hold on to the position though.
Stann managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rose.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rose is trying to ground and pound but Stann uses the momentary lack of control by Rose to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Rose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Billy Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stann.
A slow jab from Stann misses its intended target.
Stann looks to clinch
and Rose counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rose shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rose showed some decent athleticism there.
Rose has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rose is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Stann!

Rose cracks Stann with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Billy Rose thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
