Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, White Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruud Gaal!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a series of punches but Gaal moves out of range.
Gaal has a takedown stuffed.
Gaal is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Black.
Black tries to clinch there but Gaal circles away.
Black lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Black cracks Gaal with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A decent looking cross lands there for Black.
Black misses with a two punch combination.
Gaal gets tackled into the cage by Black. Black maintains the clinch.
Gaal creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Gaal drags the fight down to the ground.
Gaal pulls Black in to control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of White Black.
Gaal takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Gaal.
Black looks to land a combination but Gaal avoids it well.
Gaal shoots for a takedown but Black saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Black is looking to clinch but Gaal is avoiding it.
Black pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gaal back to the cage. Black follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Black tries to bum rush Gaal with a series of wild strikes but Gaal uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Black closes the distance and clinches.
Black lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Gaal is rocked!
Gaal using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Black has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gaal is still on wobbly legs! Can Black finish him?
Gaal looks gassed!
Gaal is looking to control Black's arms but Black gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gaal has his back to the cage.
Black wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gaal has Black pressed against the cage, preventing Black from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Black scores with a shoulder strike.
Black creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Gaal with a big uppercut! Gaal tries to clinch up but Black pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Gaal to the mat! Gaal covers up and Black unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). White Black!
