Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Neguera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Chiappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabricio Neguera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fabricio Neguera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Chiappe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Chiappe misses.
Chiappe throws a nice looking combination but Neguera bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Chiappe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

and Neguera decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chiappe's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Neguera with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Neguera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Neguera wants to control from the top but Chiappe keeps moving.

Chiappe is looking for a triangle but Neguera pushes his legs off easily.
Neguera won't allow Chiappe to sweep him here.

Neguera is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Chiappe is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Chiappe has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chiappe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Chiappe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Chiappe stands up from Neguera's guard - Chiappe perhaps looking for a knockout.
A left and a right from Chiappe both land. Nice combination.
Chiappe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chiappe cracks Neguera with a right hand to the side of the head.

Chiappe throws a jab when Neguera was well out of range.

Neguera throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chiappe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Neguera is in Chiappe's guard.

Chiappe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Neguera defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fabricio Neguera.
Chiappe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Chiappe lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Fabricio Neguera has been cut.
Chiappe lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Chiappe works over Neguera's head and body with a nice combination.
Neguera is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chiappe.
A decent looking cross lands there for Chiappe.

Chiappe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Neguera but Neguera pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fabricio Neguera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Chiappe.

Chiappe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Neguera to the mat! Neguera manages to get full guard.
Neguera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Neguera is looking to stand up but Chiappe isn't so interested in that idea.

Chiappe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Neguera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chiappe has managed to get both his arms back between Neguera's legs - danger averted.
Chiappe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neguera swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Chiappe is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Chiappe stands up and waves to Neguera to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chiappe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Neguera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chiappe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chiappe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chiappe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Neguera's head.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chiappe lands a nice short elbow.

Well Chiappe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
