Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Hasselhof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Guifre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hasselhof might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nas - Hate me now. Marc Guifre is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Hasselhof! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marc Guifre! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hasselhof closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guifre circles away. Hasselhof tries for a takedown but Guifre sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hasselhof shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hasselhof was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Guifre tries to lock up and control but Hasselhof gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guifre is trying desperately to improve position. Guifre bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Guifre drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hasselhof looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hasselhof looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hasselhof! Guifre is trying to control Hasselhof's posture but Hasselhof avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guifre gets back to half guard. Guifre wants to improve his position but Hasselhof is controlling well.
Guifre is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hasselhof is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Guifre has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Guifre looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Guifre manages to get to full guard.
Guifre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hasselhof can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hasselhof avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hasselhof forces his way into half guard. Guifre is looking for a sweep. Hasselhof is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hasselhof tries to pass the half guard into mount. Guifre knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Guifre moves into full guard.
Guifre looking for a sweep. Not yet Guifre, not yet. Guifre looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hasselhof has picked Guifre up and slammed him! Guifre can't keep hold of the triangle and Hasselhof manages to pass to side control! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hasselhof working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hasselhof is breathing heavily. Guifre gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marc Guifre will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Guifre feints and as Hasselhof raises his hands in defense, Guifre changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Guifre stands and throws Hasselhof's legs to the side, diving into side control. Guifre tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guifre has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Guifre is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hasselhof is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guifre wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hasselhof, who protects the arm well. Hasselhof stops Guifre from passing to mount. Hasselhof might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hasselhof tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Guifre tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guifre has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Guifre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Guifre in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Hasselhof is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marc Guifre! Marc Guifre retains his lightweight title!
