Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Winters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rain Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Winters moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hernandez slips under a jab from Winters. Winters catches Hernandez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Hernandez throws a one two combo.
It looks like John Winters has been cut. Winters misses with an uppercut. Winters dips to his left and cracks Hernandez with an uppercut! A punch combination from Hernandez misses. Hernandez drops his hands momentarily and Winters takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Hernandez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A low kick from Hernandez misses and Winters counters with a series of strikes. Hernandez will be more careful next time no doubt. Winters swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Winters throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hernandez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Winters is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Winters is rocked! Winters shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hernandez defends it nicely. Oh Winters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Winters throws a shot from downtown. Hernandez moves away and avoids it. Winters looks to land a combination but Hernandez avoids it well. Winters seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winters lands the left hand. Jab by Winters. Whack! Hernandez lands a heavy head kick that drops Winters. The ref tackles Hernandez to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Winters was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Rain Hernandez! Rain Hernandez seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
