Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar comes to the cage accompanied by Rick Ross- The Boss. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Edgar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sub Zero!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero fails with the takedown.

Zero fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Edgar to the ground. Zero is now in Edgar's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Edgar looking to control but Zero passes into half guard.
Edgar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zero is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zero is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Edgar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zero.

Edgar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zero pulls his head out easily.

Zero seems to be working for a kimura but Edgar defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Edgar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Zero is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Edgar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zero.

A close round but Sub Zero will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Edgar throws a sloppy head kick and Zero moves out of range easily.
That kick from Edgar tenderised Zero's leg. Zero is trying to keep his angry face on.

Zero shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Edgar defends it nicely.
Anderson Edgar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Zero.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zero crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Edgar - the referee stops the clock and Zero gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Edgar. Zero manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Anderson Edgar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Edgar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sub Zero has got the better of the ground game so far.
Edgar is looking to improve his position but Zero isn't that keen on the idea.
Edgar is controlling an arm, preventing Zero from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Edgar reaches up to try and control the position but Zero seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Edgar rolls and tries to escape and now Zero has his back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zero holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Edgar tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Zero wants to control but Edgar is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anderson Edgar.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
