Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Ko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Seaborne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seaborne is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Success. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Ko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Seaborne!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seaborne throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ko's waist but Ko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Seaborne off to one side.
Seaborne uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ko.
Ivan Ko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Seaborne keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ko just misses with a punch to the body.
Seaborne wants to clinch.
Ko jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Seaborne throws the left hand but Ko avoids the punch easily.
Ko throws a big shot that misses.
Ko throws a right and a left that Seaborne avoids nicely.
A nice combination there by Ko.
Ko swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Ko swings wildly with an uppercut but Seaborne uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ko lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Seaborne jumps guard.

Seaborne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seaborne swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Well, if Ko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ko is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Seaborne!

Ko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Seaborne is looking to improve his position but Ko isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Seaborne is looking to escape.
Ko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ko working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Seaborne tries to reverse the position but Ko maintains control.
Ko looking to control but Seaborne is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Ko postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Seaborne looks a forlorn figure.
Ko connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Ko looking to finish Seaborne with some ground and pound. This is bad for Seaborne!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ko blocks Seaborne's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Ko looking to control but Seaborne is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Seaborne working to try and regain half guard.
Seaborne bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Ko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Seaborne wants to control from the top but Ko keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ko holds on and takes a little breather.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ko can't keep his opponent in guard - Seaborne advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivan Ko dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Ko misses with a series of wild punches.
Ko throws a left and a right that both miss
and Seaborne counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Seaborne sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Seaborne avoids the body shot from Ko.
Ko swings for the body but Seaborne moves out of range.
Ko misses with a double jab
and Seaborne counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ko connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Seaborne's hands.
Seaborne takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Seaborne is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Seaborne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ko moves away.
Seaborne walks into a jab.
Ko misses with a hook.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ko, as that shot connected.
Seaborne takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ko punishes Seaborne's body with a nice straight punch.
Ivan Ko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Seaborne misses with a right hand
and Ko counters with a straight right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ko catches Seaborne with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


Seaborne is rocked!

Seaborne tries to keep at a distance but Ko has taken the fight into the clinch.
Seaborne is still on wobbly legs! Can Ko finish him?
A hook to the body from Ko.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ko lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Ko gets through Seaborne's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ko lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ko creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Seaborne with a big uppercut! Seaborne tries to clinch up but Ko pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Seaborne to the mat! Seaborne covers up and Ko unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ivan Ko!
