Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nathan Corbett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leon Hansen!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen falls off balance throwing a combination

and Corbett counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Corbett trying to control but Hansen is working from the bottom.
Corbett stands and throws Hansen's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Corbett fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Corbett in side control, throwing shots but Hansen defends.
A lull in the action here.
Hansen is not content to let Corbett control the position.
Corbett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hansen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corbett trying to control the position but Hansen is working away.
Hansen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Corbett.

Corbett thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hansen is letting Corbett control him for a moment.

Corbett tries to advance to mount but Hansen denies him.
Hansen is looking to reverse the position.

Corbett throws a strike aimed at the side of Hansen's head but Hansen avoids it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hansen is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Corbett working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Hansen is looking to regain half guard here but Corbett keeps moving and retains side control.
Corbett wants to control but Hansen is keeping him busy.

Corbett has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hansen!
Corbett misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Corbett controlling the pace for now.
Corbett lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Corbett raining down hammerfists from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hansen is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hansen is squirming around, avoiding Corbett's attempts to control the action.
Hansen is trying desperately to improve position.
Corbett trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Hansen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Corbett looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hansen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Corbett's guard.
Corbett wants to sweep but no luck.

Corbett is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hansen rolls with it to try and escape but Corbett cranks on the arm and Hansen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nathan Corbett!
Nathan Corbett opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
