Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bas Rutten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Grant! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rutten shoots for a double leg takedown but Grant sprawls well. He's pushed Rutten's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Grant looks to land a combination but Rutten avoids it well. Rutten closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grant circles away. Grant looks to throw the jab but Rutten is out of range. Grant looks for a takedown but Rutten sprawls well. Grant fails to land the takedown. Grant throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rutten's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Grant tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Grant misses with a head kick.
Rutten shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grant but Grant pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bas Rutten. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant drives through with a takedown into Rutten's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Grant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rutten swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rutten is trying to keep Grant in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rutten is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grant defends well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grant gets to his feet. Rutten looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A head kick misses from Grant.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rutten shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grant defends it nicely. Grant tries to clinch up. Grant avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rutten closes the distance and pushes Grant back into the cage. Grant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rutten moves out of range of the body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grant closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rutten's guard. Grant stops Rutten from standing up. Rutten punching from the bottom. Rutten is looking for a triangle but Grant pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grant wants to pass the guard but Rutten is keeping the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rutten tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grant wants to control from the top but Rutten keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tyson Grant will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rutten keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rutten fails with the takedown. Grant throws a push kick but Rutten slaps the foot to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grant tries to clinch but Rutten is having none of it. Grant fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant moves into range and clinches up with Rutten. Grant can't break the clinch.
Grant breaks from the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Grant. Rutten avoids the head kick by Grant.
Rutten tries to clinch but Grant is having none of it. Bas Rutten is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rutten shoots in and drives through. Grant sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant moves in looking to clinch but Rutten pushes him off. Grant throws a lazy head kick and Rutten counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Grant is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rutten is looking to advance position but Grant has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grant content just to control the position here. Bas Rutten overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Rutten is looking to improve his position but Grant isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rutten is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Rutten is desperately trying to improve his position but Grant has a good base and remains in mount. Grant is trying to control here but Rutten has managed to regain half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Rutten wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grant escapes and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tyson Grant will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Grant throws a lazy head kick and Rutten counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Grant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rutten shoots in and drives through. Grant sprawls well. A combination from Grant does no damage. Rutten shoots and misses and Grant decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rutten's guard. Grant gets to his feet - Rutten follows without any prompting. Grant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rutten counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grant won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grant wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Rutten seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Grant is tapping! Wow, great finish!
