Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge VonQulik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aluicious James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge VonQulik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aluicious James!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VonQulik tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
James dodges the punch combination from VonQulik.
VonQulik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
James shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and VonQulik counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps James thinking.
VonQulik jabs James right on the nose. James blinks but takes it well.
VonQulik throws a jab when James was well out of range.
James showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from VonQulik.
James will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
VonQulik lands with a nice combination. James backs away looking to recover.
VonQulik throws a hook to the side of James's head but James sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
VonQulik throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

VonQulik scores with a nice body kick.
VonQulik's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and VonQulik duly obliges.

VonQulik bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
James tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but VonQulik wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
VonQulik looks up at the clock and then as James takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, VonQulik smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

VonQulik slips a nice elbow through James's hands, connecting with James's forehead.

VonQulik throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

VonQulik seems to be looking for submissions.
Still in half guard, VonQulik seems content to control.
James regains full guard. Nicely done.
VonQulik will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

James wants to sweep but no luck.

VonQulik is keen to just control but James is a slippery customer.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

VonQulik lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
James is looking to improve his position.
VonQulik is nestled in close to James, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

James wants to get back to full guard.

James throws his legs up looking for a submission but VonQulik uses it to pass to side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

VonQulik is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, James has escaped the position, nice work there.
James tries to bench press VonQulik off him but VonQulik keeps the position.
VonQulik lands a few punches from side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

VonQulik tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no VonQulik has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jorge VonQulik dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



VonQulik closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - VonQulik lands in his opponent's guard.

James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jorge VonQulik overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
VonQulik content to stall in guard here.
James wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. VonQulik gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
VonQulik postures up and lands a big shot to James's brow.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

James is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! VonQulik has his hands clasped together but James extends an breaks VonQulik's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by James.
