Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennedy's entrance music is Still Remains-The Worst Is Yet To Come. A fine choice. Steel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Its a Fight. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Kennedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Steel! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kennedy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Steel circles away quickly and effectively. Steel closes the distance and clinches. Kennedy takes an elbow to the forehead. Steel manages to break the clinch.
Steel throws a series of strikes that have Kennedy backpedaling.
Kennedy looks to land a right hand but Steel moved out of range. Nice takedown defense from Steel. No joy for Kennedy on that attempt. Steel throws a body kick that misses. Kennedy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Steel looks to land a combination but Kennedy avoids it well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steel rushes Kennedy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kennedy shoots and misses and Steel counters with a nice uppercut. Kennedy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Steel throws a head kick but Kennedy moves out of range.
Julius Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kennedy shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Kennedy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Steel scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kennedy doesn't seem bothered though. Steel lands a head shot. Kennedy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Kennedy looks to land a combination but Steel avoids it well. Kennedy dives in and grabs Steel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes down on Kennedy's head and hops out. This has been an exciting period of action! Steel turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Steel has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Horrible takedown by Kennedy or perhaps it was just good defense by Steel which made him look bad. Kennedy is breathing heavily. Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kennedy. Steel tries a head kick but it misses.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kennedy. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Steel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kennedy on the side of the head. Steel is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy tries for a takedown but Steel circles away easily letting Steel counter with a right hand. Steel is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kennedy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Steel misses with a head kick.
Steel throws a series of strikes that have Kennedy backpedaling.
Steel throws a right hand that Kennedy ducks under and follows up with a left that Kennedy also avoids with ease. Kennedy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Steel wants to sweep but no luck. Kennedy drops back looking for a leg! Steel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steel manages to kick Kennedy off! Kennedy jumps back into Steel's guard. Steel wants to stand but Kennedy is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kennedy wants to pass the guard but Steel is keeping the position. Steel is controlling Kennedy's posture. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kennedy is one step ahead there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Steel can't keep his opponent in guard - Kennedy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julius Steel dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Steel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Steel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kennedy backs up against the cage.

Kennedy throws a lazy right hand but Steel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kennedy throws a nice looking combination but Steel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Steel misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Steel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Steel breaks from the clinch.

Kennedy misses with a takedown and Steel counters by clinching up. Steel breaks the clinch.
Steel rushes Kennedy and presses him up against the cage. Steel has Kennedy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Steel pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kennedy tumbling to the mat - Steel dives into Kennedy's guard. Steel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kennedy is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kennedy looks to land a left hand but Steel moved out of range nicely. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kennedy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Steel defending well as Kennedy loads up on a big left hand. Good exchange - Steel coming out on top. Kennedy looks to land a right hand but Steel moved out of range. Steel wants to land a leg kick but Kennedy is out of range. Julius Steel seems to be getting the better of the standup. Steel throws out a powerful jab.

A jab from Steel finds it's way through Kennedy's defenses. Steel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kennedy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kennedy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Steel.

and Steel counters with a three punch combo that has Kennedy backing up. Kennedy nods at Steel to acknowledge the strikes. Julius Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steel is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kennedy. Kennedy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Steel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steel wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Kennedy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kennedy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kennedy closes the distance and clinches up with Steel, looking for a takedown. Kennedy pushes Steel against the cage but Steel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Steel lands with a nice combination. Kennedy backs away looking to recover. Steel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kennedy back to the cage. Steel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steel misses with a two punch combination.

Julius Steel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

letting Steel counter with a right hand. Julius Steel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Steel as Kennedy shoots in. Steel moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Steel smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Steel throws a front kick that sends Kennedy stumbling back into the cage. Kennedy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Steel circles away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kennedy looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Steel is controlling Kennedy's posture.

Steel throws a push kick but Kennedy slaps the foot to one side. Kennedy shoots for a double leg takedown but Steel sprawls well. He's pushed Kennedy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Kennedy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Steel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kennedy needs to keep his hands up - Steel had a free shot at his head there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steel as he jumps to the side. Kennedy shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense. Steel with a nice cross. Steel throws a nice outside leg kick. Steel fails to land with a series of punches.
Steel scores to the head and body with a nice combination! That kick from Steel tenderised Kennedy's leg. Kennedy is trying to keep his angry face on. Steel fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Steel has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A lazy left from Steel finds it's target. Sloppy strikes from Steel. Those never looked like landing. Kennedy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steel pinned against the cage. Steel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kennedy walks into a stiff left hand from Steel. A punch lands to the side of Kennedy 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Steel displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kennedy tries for a takedown but Steel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Steel throws a nice looking combination but Kennedy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Julius Steel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Steel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
