The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourque throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bourque connects with a nice looking jab.

Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bourque stuns Trejo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Trejo throws a lazy head kick
and Bourque counters with a left and a right that stings Trejo.
Trejo wants to clinch up but Bourque keeps it at a distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bourque darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bourque scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Trejo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Trejo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A big left from Trejo misses.
Trejo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Trejo scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Timothy Bourque has been cut.
Trejo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bourque looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Trejo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bourque, who protects the arm well.

Trejo swings around for an armbar but Bourque sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Trejo's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bourque stands and steps away. Trejo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Trejo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Bourque lands a big head kick that sends Trejo tumbling to the mat! Bourque takes a step backwards and waves Trejo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bourque lands a big right hook! Trejo looks hurt but is still standing! Bourque lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Trejo falls down and Bourque dives in with a huge hammer fist! Trejo's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Bourque runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
