Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leo Cotterman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Falcone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falcone is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BLACK HAWK DOWN. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leo Cotterman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Falcone! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cotterman misses with the combination.
Falcone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cotterman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cotterman shoots for a takedown but Falcone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cotterman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Falcone swats him away and circles back towards the center. Falcone just misses with a punch to the body.
Cotterman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Falcone as he jumps to the side. Cotterman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Falcone circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Cotterman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cotterman looks to clinch and Falcone counters with a slapping leg kick. Cotterman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Falcone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Falcone stuffs the takedown attempt from Cotterman. Cotterman gets slowly back to his feet. Cotterman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Falcone tries to avoid it but Cotterman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Falcone to the ground. Falcone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cotterman closes the distance and clinches up with Falcone, looking for a takedown. Cotterman pushes Falcone against the cage but Falcone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Falcone connects with a body shot. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cotterman. Falcone slips a jab and a cross from Cotterman.
Cotterman closes the distance looking to clinch and Falcone counters with a right hand to the body. Falcone scores with a hook. Cotterman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cotterman is keen to just control but Falcone is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cotterman tries to stand and escape but Falcone is controlling the position. Cotterman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Falcone on the ground. Cotterman seems to be working for a kimura but Falcone defends the submission attempt. Cotterman is trying to control the action in half guard but Falcone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Falcone manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cotterman wants to control from the top but Falcone keeps moving. Falcone manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Falcone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cotterman is looking to improve his position but Falcone isn't that keen on the idea. Falcone looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Falcone with shots to the head and body - Cotterman looks very uncomfortable down there. Falcone lands with some strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cotterman is in all sorts of trouble here.
Falcone avoids the attempt from Cotterman to control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Falcone misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cotterman wants to get back to his feet.

Falcone working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cotterman. Cotterman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Falcone keeping moving, preventing Cotterman from controlling successfully. Cotterman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cotterman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Cotterman trying to control but Falcone is working from the bottom. Falcone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cotterman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Falcone is looking for a triangle but Cotterman pushes his legs off easily.

Falcone keeping moving, preventing Cotterman from controlling successfully. Cotterman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Falcone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cotterman has Falcone in his guard. Falcone trying to control the position from guard on top but Cotterman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Falcone is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Falcone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Falcone throws a big elbow that misses. Cotterman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Falcone wants to pass the guard but Cotterman is keeping the position. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leo Cotterman. I think Cotterman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
