Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lee Willy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy McCranky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jimmy McCranky was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lee Willy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy McCranky! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willy misses with a takedown attempt - McCranky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Willy stuffs the takedown attempt from McCranky. McCranky gets slowly back to his feet. Willy misses with a takedown attempt and McCranky holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Willy is breathing heavily. Willy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Willy closes the distance looking to clinch and McCranky counters by moving into the clinch. Willy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. McCranky is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. McCranky avoiding damage as Willy throws knees to the body.
McCranky can't break the clinch.
McCranky has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Willy uses from the top position. McCranky manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McCranky pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. McCranky looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
McCranky takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. I looks like McCranky might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that McCranky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Willy tries to hold on but McCranky postures up. Willy wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by McCranky.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jimmy McCranky just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Willy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Willy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Willy looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The fighters are battling for position here. McCranky manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Willy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McCranky on the ground. McCranky manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McCranky goes for an armbar but Willy turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Willy. Willy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. McCranky working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCranky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Willy's guard. McCranky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Willy wants to stand up but McCranky is controlling him. McCranky content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy McCranky dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
McCranky throws a right and a left that Willy avoids nicely. McCranky pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Willy gets the takedown into side control. McCranky is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCranky is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. McCranky wants to control but Willy is keeping busy and won't allow it. McCranky moves into full guard.
McCranky lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Willy! McCranky wants to control the pace but Willy is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCranky avoids the attempt from Willy to control. Willy is trying to stand up. McCranky controlling the pace for now. Willy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McCranky looking to control and managing it successfully. McCranky working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. McCranky looking to control and managing it successfully.

Willy is rocked! Lee Willy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Willy fails with the takedown and McCranky counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Willy's guard now. Oh Willy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! McCranky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. McCranky working some strikes from top position. Willy working a defensive guard here.
McCranky connects with a couple of short punches. McCranky pushing down on Willy's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. McCranky is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Willy! Willy seems to have got his legs back now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willy tries to reverse the position but McCranky maintains control. McCranky looking to control and managing it successfully. McCranky postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Willy looks a forlorn figure.
McCranky controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy McCranky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Willy tries to clinch but McCranky moves away and McCranky counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Willy tries to get to full guard but McCranky has control of the leg. McCranky thows a huge punch but Willy dodges it nicely.
Willy is staying active underneath McCranky, who seems content to just control the action from this position. McCranky slips a nice elbow through Willy's hands, connecting with Willy's forehead. McCranky lands strikes from half guard. McCranky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Willy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. McCranky sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Willy defending well though. McCranky prevents Willy from standing back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McCranky tries to clinch there but Willy circles away.
Willy throws a head kick that half lands.
Willy with a poor takedown and McCranky counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McCranky trying to control the action but Willy is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCranky creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Willy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. A lull in the action here as McCranky stalls from top position. McCranky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Willy keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McCranky might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Willy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A punch combination from Willy misses. McCranky takes the fight into the clinch. McCranky gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. McCranky seems to be looking for submissions.
Willy gets full guard. McCranky landing some decent shots from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCranky slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Willy can't do much from the bottom here. McCranky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Willy keeps working. Willy managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by McCranky.
McCranky controls the position. McCranky trying to control the action but Willy is working from the bottom. McCranky decides to stand up, so the ref orders Willy to his feet. Lee Willy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

McCranky is pulling down on Willy's head. It's preventing any offense from Willy, at least for the moment. Willy looking to pass the guard. McCranky is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy McCranky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well McCranky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
