Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Pitbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hudson comes to the cage accompanied by Roll Over DJ. The Pitbull has chosen Three 6 Mafia - It's a Fight as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Hudson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, John The Pitbull!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Hudson misses.
Hudson misses with a straight left.
The Pitbull shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hudson but Hudson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The Pitbull gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hudson counters with a nice double leg into side control. The Pitbull won't be happy with that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The Pitbull avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hudson.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hudson throws an elbow that misses. The Pitbull uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hudson's guard. Nice move by The Pitbull!

Hudson wants to control but The Pitbull postures up.
Hudson wants to get back to his feet but The Pitbull drags him back down.
The Pitbull remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Hudson is looking to regain half guard here but The Pitbull keeps moving and retains side control.

The Pitbull is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hudson's shoulder. That is not cool.

Hudson tries to buck The Pitbull off but The Pitbull is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John The Pitbull.
Hudson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. The Pitbull manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The Pitbull looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
John The Pitbull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Pitbull tries for a takedown but Hudson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gary Hudson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John The Pitbull.
Hudson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but The Pitbull swivels and escapes.

Hudson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

The Pitbull moves out of range of the strikes.
Hudson closes the distance and clinches up with The Pitbull, looking for a takedown. Hudson pushes The Pitbull against the cage but The Pitbull circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hudson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Pitbull moves away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hudson looks to land a combination. The Pitbull sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hudson dives in and grabs The Pitbull's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Pitbull pushes down on Hudson's head and hops out.

A bone on bone clash there as Hudson blocks the leg kick.
The Pitbull leaves Hudson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hudson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hudson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hudson wants it to stay on the feet.
The Pitbull closes the distance but Hudson moves to the side

The Pitbull shoots in for a takedown but Hudson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The Pitbull misses with a takedown attempt - Hudson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The Pitbull fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hudson avoids it really well and circles away.

so Hudson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Pitbull looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hudson is fending him off so far but The Pitbull persists. Nope, Hudson circles away and we're back to standing.
The Pitbull shoots in but Hudson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hudson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hudson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hudson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The Pitbull seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Hudson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hudson gets to his feet - The Pitbull follows without any prompting.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hudson wants to stand and escape but The Pitbull is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Hudson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

John The Pitbull is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The Pitbull wants to clinch up but Hudson keeps it at a distance.

The Pitbull dives in and grabs Hudson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hudson pushes down on The Pitbull's head and hops out.
Hudson throws a right and a left that The Pitbull avoids nicely.

The Pitbull fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hudson to the ground. The Pitbull is now in Hudson's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The Pitbull slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gary Hudson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well, if The Pitbull is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

John The Pitbull comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hudson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
