Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denton Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett has chosen Bad To the Bone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sackett.

and Sackett counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Sackett moves out of range of the leg kick from Thunder.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thunder, right into the meat.

Thunder missing with a left hand there. Sackett was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sackett attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Thunder throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sackett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Sackett has hold of Thunder's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Thunder manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Sackett goes for an armbar but Thunder turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Thunder.
Thunder is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Thunder wants to pass the guard but Sackett is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Denton Thunder wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Thunder throws a leg kick which misses Sackett's front leg but catches the back leg as Sackett tries to avoid it.
Thunder looks for the body kick but Sackett saw that one coming.
Sackett throws a nice looking combination but Thunder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Thunder.
Sackett swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Thunder to counter with a crisp jab.
Sackett will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Thunder wants to slow Sackett down by chopping away at his legs.
Thunder throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thunder tests Sackett's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Thunder counters with a body kick that stops Sackett in his tracks momentarily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Thunder throws a low kick but Sackett avoids it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Thunder will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
